Toronto, September 24 – The Board of Directors of the Health Products Stewardship Association (HPSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Delphine Lagourgue as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2025. Delphine Lagourgue will succeed Terri Drover, who has successfully led the organization as President & CEO since June 2020. Under Terri’s leadership, HPSA achieved record membership growth and significantly strengthened partnerships with government bodies, laying the foundation for HPSA’s expanded footprint across Canada.

With over 15 years of leadership experience in the stewardship industry, Delphine Lagourgue most recently served as Vice President at HPSA. Under her tenure, the organization expanded from managing six stewardship programs to overseeing eleven programs today with the successful launches of new programs in Quebec and New Brunswick in 2024 alone.

“Delphine is an accomplished leader with a proven track record of driving growth and innovation,” said Kristin Willemsen, Chairman of the Board. “Her strategic vision and leadership style make her the ideal person to guide HPSA into its next phase of growth.”

In response to her appointment, Delphine Lagourgue said, “I am deeply grateful to the Board for the trust they have placed in me. I look forward to working closely with the Board, and our amazing team to continue building on HPSA’s strong foundation and delivering value for our members.”

Delphine Lagourgue holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Nottingham. She also recently earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification.
