Associate, Member Relations

Position Summary

The Associate, Member Relations supports the Manager, Member Relations in the development and implementation of effective member engagement and retention strategies.

Duties & Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in creation and execution of engagement strategies to provide responsive member support and foster positive member relationships.
  • Handle day-to-day inquiries related to membership (policies, reporting processes, and compliance).
  • Provide clear guidance to members on submission processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reports.
  • Conducting analysis of member reports (including year-over-year comparisons).
  • Monitoring member reporting submissions, following up as required, and addressing discrepancies.
  • Support new member recruitment strategy development and recruitment efforts by identifying potential members, assessing eligibility, and facilitating their onboarding.
  • Assist in organizing member committees, webinars, and other initiatives to educate members on regulatory compliance and best practices.
  • Create compliance checklists and identify non-compliant obligated parties.
  • Ensure membership records are accurate and up-to-date, driving data-driven insights for engagement and compliance tracking.
  • Prepare reports on member engagement, compliance status, and performance metrics
  • Assist in creating member value-added projects.
  • Assist in creating case studies and best practices.
  • Continuously improve the Members Portal, identifying and implementing updates to enhance functionality and user experience.

Education/Experience

  • Post-secondary education in environmental studies, public policy, social sciences or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in customer service, stakeholder engagement.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with members and stakeholders.
  • Experience drafting reports, procedures, or process documentation

  • Advanced Excel skills for report analysis and proficiency in advanced CRM platforms.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a focus on customer needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capable of conducting detailed analysis, identifying trends, and generating actionable insights.
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity, vision, and enthusiasm in leading initiatives and setting high standards.
